Play Time

The Story

Here, you get to play around with the parameters of the model. You'll see how the base rate, power, and false positive rate influence your ability to successfully separate the truth hypotheses from the false ones. All these parameters are adjustable — simply click on any value and start typing. For simplicity, we'll keep the number of total hypotheses constant at 100. You'll need to refresh the page to try new parameter combinations.

Once again, you can replicate an experiment by clicking on a previously tested hypothesis. You can test each hypothesis a maximum of 12 times. Each test has the same power and false positive rate. When you're ready, check your results to see which hypotheses are actually true.
